Principal Design Features
Architectural Tee 6063 is an aluminum alloy, with magnesium and silicon as the alloying elements. It has generally good mechanical properties and is heat treatable and weldable.

Applications
Commonly used in extruded shapes for architecture, particularly window frames, door frames, roofs, and sign frames. It is typically produced with very smooth surfaces fit for anodizing.

Machinability
Machinability is considered to be average for this alloy.

Forming
Forming ability, either hot or cold, is good.

Welding
The alloy is readily welded by conventional methods.

Heat Treatment
This alloy is heat treatable.
