Principal Design Features
6061 Butt-Weld Fittings, once welded, the fitting becomes an integral part of the system offering a leak-proof pipe connection, adding strength to the system, changing flow direction gradually and utilizing the minimum amount of space and minimizes the possibility of erosion and corrosion due to fluid turbulence. Butt-Weld Fittings come in different schedules and alloys conforming to multiple standards and specifications.

Applications
Butt-Weld Fittings are used in a wide range of industries requiring strong welded, liquid, gas and chemical transmission systems utilizing the minimum available space. Industries include marine, oil & gas, paper pulp, pharmaceuticals, rail, food & beverage to name a few.

Machinability
Machinability for 6061-T6 is considered good.

Forming
Good.

Welding
6061-T6 is readily welded using common welding techniques.

Heat Treatment
6061-T6 is heat treatable.
